Leading the entire operation in one our fast-paced Processing Centres, you’ll ensure the team can provide the highest standards of our service to our Stores and Logistics Centres, while constantly improving our operational efficiency against some challenging objectives. This is a high profile and key leadership role in TJX that will typically be responsible for:
- Overall responsibility for the success of your site whilst providing a strategic vision
- Achieving KPIS whilst planning budgets and managing resources effectively
- Leading and developing your leadership team and ensure a robust succession plan is in place
- Motivating and inspiring all your associates to do their best every day
- Continually striving to achieve better results
PROVIDE THE STRATEGIC VISION
The buck stops with you because, in this key role, you’ll provide the leadership vision for your teams to get behind.
In short, it will be down to you to cascade the wider TJX Europe Business strategy and values through your management team. You will do this by talking about possibilities and creating a vision for the future that can be understood by every single one of your Associates.
ACT AS COACH AND MENTOR
Another important part of your challenge will be to coach and mentor others within your leadership team. Sharing with them your knowledge and experience, you’ll help them develop their own careers with TJX Europe and perhaps go on to manage Processing Centres of their own.
And your direct leadership responsibilities won’t end with the leadership team. Indeed, your success will hinge on your ability to engage with, and ultimately bring out the best in all levels of Associate across the Processing Centre.
What we look for
General Management experience in a similarly complex manufacturing or distribution environment would be ideal
Inspirational leadership skills and demonstrable experience of motivating large and diverse teams
Strong strategic planning skills and an in depth knowledge of budget and resource management
Good knowledge of warehouses systems and processes, including FLT conveyors and other materials handling equipment
A sharp commercial mind, outstanding negotiation skills and a talent for resolving productivity issues
Experience in building a robust succession plan
A willingness to work throughout the UK and ideally elsewhere in Europe is really beneficial
